First, as of the date of this announcement itself, all music file links that pointed to previous file hosting accounts that we've had with SaberCat Host (as well as Instaudio before it) are now inoperable as a result of the files themselves being deleted from those areas. More details on this "official confirmation" itself can be read here.

Second, a quick reminder that if you're wanting to join our "follower base" on both our Twitter and Discord "social media portals", you're still able to submit your requests for access; however, due to recent abuse that occured since a few months ago, we've been forced to implement an "approval process" for everyone's security as well as the safety/integrity of those two areas. Read this post for more information; after that, go here and submit a "follower request" if you have an active Twitter account. If you have a valid Discord account, you can also submit a temporary invite link request for access to our music operation's server itself by filling out this form here. Please be advised that the approval process itself for both "social media portals" takes between 24 - 48 hours after your respective inquiry has been received. Thank you.

Social Portals - IRC Channel (Rules/Guidelines)

Posted by Merit Celaire on Thursday, January 18, 2018 - 10:20 am

LAST UPDATED: January 18, 2018

This page will document the rules/standards everyone is expected to follow upon their access to our specified IRC chat channel on EsperNet (under the channel name of #MCsMarioMusicGallery). Your access to the channel and conversing on it states that you will adhere to the EsperNet Code of Conduct (the network's rules), as well as our additional rules/guidelines for this channel, as stated below:

(1) Like our entire operations overall including the forums and all other aspects of communications here, all conversations on our specified IRC channel are to be of a "family friendly nature"/G-Rated manner. - This means that you are prohibited from posting/sharing any content that breaches the "G-Rated" atmosphere in question, including linking to image/document content that is not compliant with these standards (example: no material allowed that is NSFW).

(2) Encouraging "illegal activity" will not be tolerated on this channel. - This includes linking to content that encourages illegal activity itself. Repeat offenders of this rule will have their access to this channel revoked, no exceptions.

(3) Along with making sure all conversations are of a "family friendly"/G-Rated manner, treat other users themselves on the channel with respect as well. - Granted, there will be different "personalities" depending on the user(s) themselves, but please make sure to consider others as you participate in conversations with them while in the room. This also means that harassing other users is not allowed (including "flooding the channel" with questionable content targeted at the user(s)), along with attempting to do other "questionable actions" that are of threat to the good nature of this channel's community overall.

The standards that will be followed on this channel regarding enforcement of these rules are the following:

* Minor infractions to these channel rules (when discovered) will result in the offending user being kicked with a warning (includes notifying the users with a reason as to why they were kicked). They will be allowed to return to the room with the hope that they will now be aware of the breach that was committed and will refrain from doing that same action in the future.

* Repeated/Severe infractions (when discovered) will result in the offending user being kicked and their access to the channel revoked (banned). Banned users will still have the right to appeal if they feel that the action taken against them on their access to this channel was the result of a misunderstanding. If their appeal is successful, then access will be granted to them again. Otherwise, they will not be allowed to return to the channel; additionally, they will be prohibited to do actions that are considered to be "ban evasion".

As like other "rules pages" for these operations overall from the "home base" regarding interactivity with other users in this community, these rules for our related channel are subject to be modified at any time; it is your responsibility to check on this document on a periodic basis whether or not we announce said changes/amendments.

How Our IRC Channel Will Work
This IRC chat channel is implemented as another one of the "interactivity extensions" of our music operations overall (including this "home base" website). However, our primary method of communication will still be our forums, so you are highly encouraged to create an account there if you're not able to reach anyone on the IRC channel, including myself (under the username of Merit_Celaire), the channel owner/founder. This IRC channel is primarily provided as a secondary means of communication to interact with other followers/fans of these music operations in real time. Additionally it is also highly recommended that your chosen username on our IRC channel itself be registered with EsperNet's "NickServ" Service as well to provide an extra layer of security for yourself and other members on our channel.

As always, the "standards" for conversation itself on the channel include the following:

* Notices on latest music arrangement additions/music arrangement file updates for our operations here overall (as well as discussion about said arrangements that I have posted to date so far)
* General discussion about Super Nintendo music style stuff overall (as well as the Super Nintendo games themselves they came from).
* Discussion about Nintendo's Super Mario videogame series overall (as we said before, we still need to and are obliged to consider "the source" as to why these operations are here in the first place). And "overall" means that it's not limited to the Wii/WiiU/3DS Super Mario (and branched) installments that I have been doing Super Nintendo music style arrangements/covers for... we're talking about all installments that have been done for this series to date: both main adventure/platform installments (like Super Mario 3D World, New Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario Galaxy, and so forth), and spinoff installments (like Mario Kart 8, Mario Tennis Open, etc.)

Note that other users may be called to assist over time to make sure our channel stays a safe and friendly place for everyone, along with making sure it stays in compliance with EsperNet's Code of Conduct. If you feel that you would be a good candidate to be a channel operator, please don't hesitate to contact me at my IRC username via private message. Be aware, however, that you'll also be subject to a thorough review in the process as well to ensure that you'll be trusted to uphold the "standards" for our channel, if accepted. Additionally, as stated earlier, you'll need to make sure that your username is registered with EsperNet's "NickServ" service should your request be approved via the review process.

If you have any questions regarding this "rules document" for our IRC chat channel on EsperNet, please do not hesitate to contact me as soon as possible from this page and I'll see how I can help to clarify any misunderstandings that you may have. With all of this said, now proceed to our IRC chat channel itself from this link. We'll see you folks there.
