"Music File Statistics Rankings Document" Updated as of 3/18/2024

Posted by Merit Celaire on Monday, March 18, 2024 - 03:17 PM

This afternoon, everyone, we have managed to see about getting our "Music File Statistics Rankings Document" up to date reflecting the music cover additions that were posted from late February involving songs from WarioWare: Smooth Moves to what was shared just a week ago involving stuff from Mario Tennis Aces and Mario Kart Tour.

You're able to view the current version of said document by going here; if you're wanting more information on any noteworthy ranking changes made in this update, that can be found by going to this page in question.

If you all have any further questions in relation to this document update itself, please don't hesitate to send an inquiry my way about it. Take care for now, all.

"Mario Kart Tour": New Arrangement Cover - "Singapore Speedway (Chinatown Section)"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Friday, March 15, 2024 - 05:51 PM

And now for the second Super Nintendo music styled cover that I was hoping to see about posting during the course of this month, and it targets yet another super addictive course theme song from the still active Mario Kart Tour mobile app installment.

Here's the thing: as you all might have already been aware, a few years back I did a Super Nintendo music styled cover of the super addictive "Singapore Speedway" theme song from said game (which can be checked out here if you haven't done so already). But in recent months, it came to my attention that the Mario Kart Tour composers also did an "alternate version" of this same song - more specifically, what's heard when we're going through the "Chinatown Section" of the overall course. Upon checking on my sources to hear the musical score itself here, it was yet another candidate for my planbook for me to do the process on - and now it's finally here for you to check out as of tonight.

But the only difference here is of course, the featured music instrument set that was called on to do the process. As you know, when yours truly did the cover targeting the "main theme" for Singapore Speedway, it was using the Spider-Man and the X-Men: Arcade's Revenge set from Geoff Follin/Tim Follin (LJN/Software Creations). For this cover of the "Chinatown Section" of Singapore Speedway, the instrument set for Konami's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters was called on to match the original song heard from there.

Not to be conceited, but I still recommend listening to both versions of the song cover I did here for Mario Kart Tour's "Singapore Speedway"; as for the "Chinatown Section" version that I've just posted for these operations as a whole, you're able to check it out at the below link.

New File No.
Song Title
SNES Music Arrangement Style/Featured Instrument Set
1
Singapore Speedway (Chinatown Section)
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters (SNES Version - Konami)

And that does it for the planned music arrangement additions for this month; I'm hoping that during the course of next week, we can update the "Music File Statistics" Rankings Document and get some other backend stuff out of the way because I want to try and definitely focus on doing our starting set of song covers for the upcoming Princess Peach: Showtime! game next (and according to my planbook, it looks like we might be looking at a lot of potential candidates in the months to come after game release next Friday). Until then, and as always, if you have any issues with the new file posting in this announcement, please don't hesitate to let me know as soon as possible. Take care until next time around, awesome people, and I'll see you folks later.

"Mario Tennis Aces": New Music Arrangement Cover - "Bask Ruins"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Wednesday, March 13, 2024 - 05:21 PM

Good afternoon, everyone; finally snagged the chance during the middle of this week to get one of the two newest Super Nintendo music styled arrangement covers posted on our music operations site for this month of March; this one targets yet another song from Mario Tennis Aces - it's the one heard as we're playing on the "Bask Ruins" court for said game.

This song itself written by Motoi Sakuraba (the composer for the entire Mario Tennis Aces score) caught my attention as well as all other songs I've done arrangement covers for these operations so far involving this well known composer for the entire Mario Tennis series under Nintendo and Camelot (as well as the entire Mario Golf series from this same collaboration team); God only knows when the next song candidate(s) will be found to do new covers on as the months forge ahead featuring said composer in question, so stay tuned on that front for any new development that might happen here.

As for this new song cover itself in question, you're able to check it out via the link below:

New File No.
Song Title
SNES Music Arrangement Style/Featured Instrument Set
1
Bask Ruins
Mega Man Soccer

That's all for now; hopefully we can get the other one posted on this site before the week is out. Until then, as always, if you have any difficulties in accessing this above file link itself, please don't hesitate to let me know as soon as possible. Take care for now, everyone.

New Twitter (X) Poll: Instrument Set Involvement for Upcoming Covers Related to Songs from "Princess Peach: Showtime!"

Posted by Merit Celaire on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 - 04:12 PM

Good afternoon, friends; although planning details regarding upcoming Super Nintendo music styled song covers are still under lock and key focused on songs from the highly anticipated Princess Peach: Showtime! installment set to be released in a little over one week from now, that doesn't mean I can't get input from all of you awesome people out there (especially those of you who are dedicated Princess Peach supporters) letting me know what featured Super Nintendo music instruments will be called upon in this regard when the time comes.

Case in point, and to the announcement itself: at our Twitter (X) profile page, there is now an active poll showing the instrument set candidates having the highest probability to get called on when I do the song covers themselves involving stuff from Princess Peach: Showtime! Those instrument set candidates that are under consideration include, but may not be limited to:

* The Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse (Capcom)
* Disney's Aladdin (Capcom)
* Tiny Toon Adventures: Buster Busts Loose! (Konami)
* Animaniacs (Konami)

The poll itself in question that involves the four above mentioned choices can be found here; keep in mind that like in previous polls on Twitter (X), as always, this one is set to close/expire in one week after the time of its posting - so please don't wait until the last minute on this one. We need everyone to get involved in casting votes on this poll itself so I'll definitely have an idea about which Super Nintendo music instrument sets you favor the most when I start the music arrangement process of the Princess Peach: Showtime! songs themselves and the respective page gets added to this site in due time.

Thanks in advance for your time and assistance on voting on this active poll in advance; we have to do all that we can to ensure that we represent Princess Peach and the upcoming Nintendo Switch game itself well on the music side of things at least; I know you all aren't expecting anything less here, and neither is yours truly. Take care until next time around, all; I'm out.
